Rock Salt is open for business in the Park Road Shopping Center. The eatery offers seafood from the Carolinas and Virginia. The menu also features local fare such as poultry, meats, cheeses and grains.

says owner Travis Croxton.
Rock Salt operates under the umbrella of his Rappahannock Oyster Co. Croxton is a fourth-generation oyster farmer and is providing farm-raised oysters to the establishment.
He notes the restaurant is small at 2,100 square feet, but it features a large patio that overlooks Sugar Creek.

Inside the decor has a rustic feel, with locally made banquettes, tables and chairs playing a primary role. The restaurant will seat 60 inside, including 20 at the bar. Outside, patio seating will accommodate up to 100.
